personality profiling

personality-profiling

"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

John Wooden

We are all aware that there are differences in the ways in which people behave. When we begin to reach an understanding of these differences, we gain insight by recognising different characteristics in both ourselves and others and then adapting our behaviour.

Personality-profiling is a way of identifying these preferences for different behaviour - Ad astra uses Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Type Dynamics Indicator (TDI), Work Style Analyser (WSA), 16PF and OPQ32. Personality-profiling provides a systematic way to evaluate strong points, possible weaknesses and blind spots, helping us to understand why we experience more difficulty with some situations and with some people than we do with others.

By discovering what best motivates and energises us, we are able to direct our energy so that we are more often operating from a position of strength.

In career management, we can use this information to discover work which is personally fulfilling and satisfying, by channelling our abilities in the right direction.

You will learn the following:

  • how to feel energised by the work which you do
  • how to gain a balance between work and home
  • respect for those with whom you work
  • how to feel that your contribution is appreciated

By understanding personality and style - why we think and act the way that we do - we gain benefits in work, home and social relationships.
